well I emailed Synergy 9 times and got a difference answer each time I was in fact sent to a different department each time to get an answer to the same question please change my metre I got no reply so I emailed the Minister for power and told Synergy I was doing this and sending them all the emails I have received from them with out any answer to my problem except one lady telling me she had looked at my metre and found it to be fine she must have been quick she is in Perth and I am 340 kms from her, !!!!! Today without warning I had not one but two Synergy trucks on the farm we are going to replace your metre I was told. Good one. Today so far I have only used one quarter of the power the other metre told me I was using. I will hang on for the full day and see what it tells me then. Have I now solved the problem. I will let you know. I will never know if they Synergy just decided to change the metre or the fact that I emailed the minister that made them change it Trev

The main thing is you got action Trev. What about all the extra power you've been paying for. I can't imagine them reimbursing you.

omg trev, what a nightmare for you. on the issue of solar panels and rebate you get i got this information from sunconnect today www.synergy.net.au/docs/rebs_pricing_schedule.pdf i still have to have my meter converted so that it can send power back to the grid. the above is what came with the forms i have to fill out, i hope it answers some peoples questions about solar tariffs.

HI shea well all I can get out of them at the moment is they have to test there metre IF its found to be faulty they will reimburse the last two bills only apart from the fact this has now bean going on for nearly a year has no bearing on things at all I am however thankful for small mercies
Hi Jacquie Thanks for the link if I win the Lotto I will get the whole place sola and tell Synergy to go some place its good to get all the answers and the cost Trev PS to date for the day with all the bits running I have used only 20 units NOT 51

I haven't been on line for a while so this post was very interesting to read. We are getting solar connected in the next week or so. We are getting a 3.24 Kw system installed which cost us $1300.oo after the rebate. That should produce approx 16 to 22 units a day and we use about 18 units a day in summer and about 12 units a day in winter. A lot of people that have had them installed whinge that they still have to pay power bills, but to me it seems that they didn't so their research before investing in solar. On today's electricity cost we should have paid it off with the savings in about 7 to 8 years, but in real terms with the govt continually raising our power bills it will probably be paid for in 5 years. By the way we got quotes from a lot of installers but the local quote was approx the same as the lower cost quote and i get the satisfaction of knowing that I'm keeping it local.

quambie If you ran a business and charged them using faulty equipment they would have you in court quicker than you could turn the meter off!! But as it is govt owned we know that they don't give a rat's A#se about us.
