Trev that sounds like a good price. We are still waiting for our first electricity bill to arrive since installing our solar panels. I will keep you posted on the difference in price. Cheers linda

With the new scheme, is the grant allocated to the owner or the property? If an owner has more than one property, can he be eligible for 2 grants?

Hi Everyone Since starting this thread on my solar panels, I am glad it has sparked off some interest as we all need to save on energy and line our pockets instead of the power companies. Well finally I got my first power bill since having the panels installed. My bill was dearer Only because I had to pay for the new meter and installation, although I checked my power usage from the same time last year and I have used 1/4 less watts. Which does save me money My next bill will be the standard power bill with no extras, so I will keep you all posted on this. Cheers Linda

I look forward to that one Linda as 1/4 would not do for me, with that kind of outlay it would take ages to get your money back lets hope that the next one gives you a better result I can see you have a start and that's great and the best thing is if they put the price up again you get better and save loads then it could be worth it good luck Trev

How's everyone going with thier solar systems. Are the shorter days making a difference? We are having a quote done later this month. A friend recommended the company that did thiers and it turns out to be the Solar Shop, same rep that did Linda's. A couple of others have also recommended them so hopefully the quote come in ok and we can go ahead with it.
