Ooohh! How exciting! ;D Good luck to your daughter, I hope she has a trouble free birth and has a beautifully healthy baby! You'll have to let us all know when she has it! I for one would like to see Yoda on the sax My big Light Sussex Roo (as yet un-named in case he ended up in the pot ) thinks that he'd be quite swanky on the double bass. Then he'd be perfect for the big band or classical. My speckled sessex roo - Hoppy, who is now doing very well and should be re-named - Slight Limpy - thinks that his little limp gives him the perfect swagger to make all the girls swoon! Look out Grinch!

Anne, I just got a text message from Collen Cochin, she says she can't find your telephone number and Grinch is hogging the laptop, she just wants to let your daughter know if she needed a baby sitter she'd be happy to come over and help out . Only condition is first class ticket (I hope you get good news REAL soon!!!! Next time, tell your daughter to just lay an egg like a proper chook it'll probably be much less stressful for you - and her then again :

She had to have a c-section (poor girl)after 24 hours labor he was presenting face first and got stuck ???But she now has a gorgeous 8.7 lb healthy baby boy Joshua An egg would certainly been easier and my nerves wouldn't have been so taxed Iv only seen photos ;D,off to meet my grandson today. It was nice of Colleen to offer to baby sit (trust her to contact you Pianochook ) ,According to Ross they are all itching to get to Melbourne (apparently more talent !!!!over here) ;DYour Light Sussex roo sounds as though he may soon be "THE MAN" Ikbockchook double bass and all that . I hope pianochook is up for organizing all this new talent. 8-)I'm glad hoppy - limpy is doing well girls apparently read the thread yesterday !! so watch out for visiting hens .My orpingtons took a special interest especially Fantasy & Stardust

Congratulations to all the family. I love babies and it is a shame they live so far away. I am so very very lucky to have mine so close, rather spoilt actually. I thought I had one missing too until I saw him in the plum tree and he tells me he wants to join the girls in up up in the magnificient flying machine. He is getting higher and higher in the plum tree everynight practicing how high he needs to go and he also said that being a pure white frizzle he would compliment the others beautifully. He also expressed a concern that when he goes out in the big wild world (pencil auction) he won't be allowed to join in. With all these acts I think we are going to need a schedule of what we are doing and who is doing what and most important when.

Back in Perth now ,just as well. Ross relieved to see me .First thing he wanted to me to do was see the "chick he hatched" .Id left a couple of late eggs in the incubator and a beautiful little pekin hatched .He is such a proud dad. That makes up for all the other going on's besides all the noise ,practice and night visits the poor boy got attacked by my bantam Ancona rooster and on your 42degree day one of my polish died . ;D Fluffy ,you may need to rig up a safety net under the plum tree . Mine are worried about the pencil auction too. I think any show boys or girls sold at auction will be invited back as visiting stars (with new friends of course)

I suggested the safety net and he scoffed at me and said....'God gave him wings to fly with, so that is all the safety net he needs'. I refrained from telling him he is a frizzle and his feathers are not the best for flying with, but I will bow to his judgement. He was also very happy to hear that he would be back as a 'visiting star' so he is off preening his gorgeous white feathers and practicing his 'up up' into the plum tree.

Fluffychook, Ronja is sooo excited that she'll have a partner for the flying machine act! She reckons a gorgeous white frizzle would be perfect to have her dark lacing stand out even more stunningly Unfortunately she read your last post and now refuses to wear the little parachute I made for her She also asked me who God was, so I guess I'm in for a lengthy discussion about World Religions Chooks are just so demanding, physically AND intellectually!!!! Mine never let me get to bed early, it's always "Sigmund Freud this, Schopenhauer that", I just can't keep up with their knowledge any more Got them their own State Library member cards now, I'm fed up with running back and forth for them.
