The GLW hatched sometime during the night. 2 RIR and one NH pipping. The NH pipping at the pointy end. Hopefully it will be able to unzip without help. I have a very poor record of help chicks out the shell.

1 RIR hatched. A few more pipping. Hatching a day early. It must be the effect of those hot days.

I think all my eggs are done. 14 out of 18 fertile eggs. I'll leave the rest in the incubator for another day. You never know ....

They will join the broody tonight. Hopefully she will be a good mum. I am struggling to control the crows here. I have managed to remove 3 so far but they don't seem to have learnt the lesson.

Great job Chooky .Hatching and Foxing I just got 9 out of 11 goers of the godburd eggs I was given the 2 died at about dat18-19 but I was happy -They will be my layers . Australorp chick I hatched is black and looks very boyish .CK the Pekin chicks are lovely and although the eggs were white some of the chicks look only part pekin as they are bigger and have very little leg feathering. Is that possible?

Got a surprise hatch today. I left a few eggs that didn't hatch in the incubator. This one is a whole day late. Lucky I didn't throw it out. There was no movement when I candled it.
So, the tally is 5 out of 6 IG, all RIR and 5 NH. The Maran eggs stopped developing mid way.
Mum is very happy with her 14, soon to be 15 chicks. She is a Godburg, first time mum. Not very human friendly at the moment. I'll take a few pics next week.
