Hi, Im new to this site and new to Ravensthorpe. My fiance and i recently moved here and even before we had a house for us, we were putting up the chook yard. We trenched and buried fencing a metre deep. We put fencing up so high that i cant even touch it and we put up bird netting. Wanted to protect my babies from foxes and snakes and hawks. Well a few weeks ago we lost the whole yard including my hand raised babies who used to follow me around. My partner and i are both crushed. So now we have to start fresh. I was wondering if there were any chooky people in the area? I also frequent esperance and perth regularly, so thats another option for starting again. We have always had gold lace wyandottes and jungle fowl. We still have 2 wyandotte hens and a jungle fowl rooster, but would like to try something different this time around. So many beautiful chooks out there. For my special little hand raised im looking for a day old silkie to make my own. Anyway, enough dribble. Nice to meet you all. Michelle

Hi Michelle, that is so sad that you lost your flock, been there, it is devastating. Was it a fox? Mine was, horrible things and I live in suburbia. Farmchooks has some 3 week old silkies, I have only just started breeding so none from me. Hopefully you will be able to get what you want soon. Oh and welcome to the site, nice lot of chooks here
