Just thought I'd post a pic of my new bearded silkie cockerel. I only got him yesterday and he's quite skitty so thats why the piccie isnt that good. Will try to take a closer shot tomorrow. His name is Clifford (all my chookies have old fashioned names) and hes about 4 months old.

Looks very promising, sorry cant really see the colour of his comb and wattles are they mulberry, and his ear lobes, are they blue, I think I need glasses.

Am having a hard time getting a decent pic of the lil bugger, everytime he sees me with the camera he runs over to a little lean-to so he's in the shade Anyhow, heres todays attempt: And yes he's got mulberry comb n wattles and nice blue ears

lol, he looks like Father Chistmas with a beard. I have a couple of bearded girls, but I don't think if they are pure bearded as I got them from my sister and she didn't even know there where bearded silkies. Maybe she just never noticed her birds that well...lol

Lol yeh he does doesnt he. Besides Clifford I've only got one other bearded silkie (a hen) at the moment. I've got a couple of her eggs in the bator so am hoping to get 1 or 2 bearded chicks.
