Hi everyone In our garden nut grass has taken over . The chooks have not offered their help so I'm trying to find a way to get rid of it or at least keep it under control. Is there any herbicide that is not harmful for chickens? Just pulling it out only seems to encourage it... Your suggestions will be much appreciated!

Glysophate is the only one that will control it how safe? new studys are a bit diferent on residual effects , black plastic is the only safe organic alternative.

Thanks cannakid I thought about the plastic, but then the chooks won't have much to scratch, our backyard is very small. When browsing the Internet I came across an article which mentioned agricultural molasses to reduce nut grass. Has anyone experience with that?
