HI Everyone i have a question regatding heat lamps and chicks. I last used abrooder lamp 18 months ago as my hens mosrly do the raising of my chicks. My chicks are in the shed and in 2 brooders due to space issues. I have 6 chicks in each and as they are now pushing 5 weeks old do they need a heat lamp on them during the day? They are housed in a small brick shed off the carport (My queendom) They are feathered up ok the boys have bald patches. Any Ideas on this. Cheers Linda

Hi Linda,
No problems turning heat lamps off during the day at five weeks - I do it all the time (especially this time of the year). Karen
