HI all Its that time again its cold at night for the chooks that have not done there complete moult yet so I tend to feed them a warm feed at night to settle them down. I have a bin with all kinds of grains and peas in it so I put them into the old copper I have along with water and light the gas under her, bring it to the boil for about 10 mins or so just to soften the grain a bit ad bran and pollard and a bit of layers pellets and Bingo you should see them go for it I know I am lucky to have a lot of stuff around that I can use I find that it sets them up for the next year of laying for me it definitely keeps tem warm at night what do you all do Trev
