I have a beautiful retired langshan bantam show bird that recently spent the night out in the garden instead of his house and now has a blue comb and is struggling for breath any ideas to help him please

take him to the vet.
it sounds like he has respiratory illness of some kind. it maybe bacterial or viral. if its viral it will just have to run its course, but if its bacterial they may be able to prescribe some antibiotics to combat the illness.

He died though I did have him on antibiotics for 4 days

I always feel personally responsible when one of mine dies, even when I suspect it is just old age. I have one at the moment who is acting as if she is broody but she is at least six years old and I suspect she is just tired and is using the nest like an old people's home until she passes on. I stroke and cuddle and talk to her but when she dies I will still wonder if I could have done something else to make it better for her.
