I take chooks to Geraldton all the time and it is about 5 hours and they are fine. My sister recently bought down some day olds from Geraldton and they never missed a beat. So don't worry about them. Just make sure they don't get too hot.

Hi Leah, I too am a relatively new commer to this site. How long have you lived in Norseman? My Grandmother lived in Norseman and we lived there for about a year when we came over from Qld back in the '60s. Very helpful site is this with so many very knowledgeable folks to call on.

Hi Leah I have travelled a really long way with chickens as well and they seem to do just fine as long as they don't get too hot. It does get a bit stinky in the car though so you might have your window down lots of the way...
