Beauty is looking over the fence at any noise looking out for Grinch, she is so excited and can't wait for the rain to come so she can show off her lovely gift from her beau. She also said she loved the gold shimmery wings and thought maybe they might be feather extensions, oh dear I think we are onto something new again. Who was the goose that was doing the nails etc....maybe she will do feather extensions too. If not might be a new industry for the girls to make some money.

I talked to the goose, apparently feather extension is what she is most famous for ;D when I asked her if she was able to do them she scoffed at me and said "where do you think the peacocks get their tail elongated??! They look like chickens with long necks before my treatment! And color wise, you do know they all start out white before they see me, don't you??! " So please tell Beauty I booked her in for Tuesday 2.35pm.

The goose is soooo talented ..but this is :Dgetting costly my girls were amazed by her work pianochook ::)and are desperate for some extensions and the guinea fowl want peacock tails. Oh !and my roosters have heard of these japanese bantam's with very long tails and think it would look sexy on them ;D ;D Dose the goose do tail extensions toooo ?

Oh dear, no I have not seen Grinch, I hope he is not caught in the rain. I asked Beauty and she is frantic with worry and she so wanted to show off her extensions to Grinch. That goose did an amazing job too. After I settled her down I managed to find out that yes the roses did arrive along with some choc coated marshmallow hearts and they were both very yummy too. I will check in the morning and see if he arrived ok, if he comes home let me know so I can soothe some very ruffled feather extensions.

hmmm, I'm so sorry, Anne, could have been my fault last time when Grinch was here for a game of Scrabble he was impressed with the fact that I supply a fresh bunch of flowers from the local florist to brighten up the coop (for the short while until it's been eaten, anyway) every day you know I'm new to all this chook business, isn't that what you're supposed to do??! or did those naughty girls of mine write the book on chook keeping themselves??! I do admit I was a bit surprised that it was not printed but handwritten, with lots of spelling mistakes and inkblots maybe I should start questioning other instructions, too... ;D Do not worry about Grinch any longer, he WAS caught up in the rain! what happened was, he got so wet that his eyes were completely covered with his feathers so he kept going round in circles and finally took off in the wrong direction - a friend of mine who owns a corner shop in Pinjarra told me about it apparently he bought a rubber band to keep the feathers out of his eyes, a packet of extra small rubbers of a different nature and a map, had a good peck around and headed towards the hills the sweets and the flowers had been sent up prior to get Beauty into the right mood Anne, you surely remember the phoenix on your son's wedding - he was the one who recommended the goose in the first place, so, yes, she's brilliant with tail extensions, and they are of high quality and not easy to undo, as you probably remember, too

One very tired and soaked Grinch arrived sometime in the night and was immediately fussed over by all the girls to get him warm and dry. Beauty was so concerned she totally ruined her extensions, but she said that sometimes other things are more important. She would hate Grinch to catch a cold and get really sick. She has him tucked up in the coop at the moment eating a hot breakfast laced with honey, garlic and rolled oats as she believes prevention is better than cure. She wants to keep him here for a few days to watch over him, but I think he is worried his featherless two legs will worry.

I'm so pleased that Grinch has been with such loving caring friends .What an amazing network of birds and people . ;D Fluffy tell him that we are away for the weekend so if he stays with you he must let Rachael know when he returns . Pity about Beauty's extensions but I'm sure we can get the goose to touch up the problem areas. Pianochook a copy of your instruction manual ended up at our-place the other day .My girls thought page three paragraph 2 was a hoot . ;DYou don't really sing them to sleep after warm milk and corn bickies .Also I was concerned with page 6 were it mentions the required gym membership so they can maintain their shape. I hope you saw through that one or I'm going to be up for a second mortgage to pay fees for all my birds. On a serious note Mr Verbitsky has informed me that "enough of this Prissy fussy beauty stuff its time for some music rehearsals and some bookings and said to remind you pianochook that its time to get the orchestra sorted and the solos picked . He wants to see some action soon (getting a bit bossy )

Mr Verbitsky must of been chatting with my frizzle rooster who for some reason fell out of his tree last night. We could not find him anywhere and thought he had met a fowl demise. Thankfully we found him in next doors backyard this morning, but what we want to know is what scared him enough for him to stack it out of his tree. OH heard him fall and said some strange crow/strangle sound had come from the pens.
I must agree with Mr Verbisky we have definitely got side tracked from bookings and rehearsals with all the wardrobe goings ons, which is important, but we need to move on. So has a schedule been made up and what acts are we doing, and the unhatched chicks need to have dates so they can perform at the right moment.

well, this could have certainly been the case, Trev, but I talked to Mr. Verbitsky (he's here on holidays while Anne is away, so he's got his fully deserved 24hour attention which was not guaranteed with a replacement carer : I can tell you exactly what happened : we were holding auditions for the orchestra and as you know there was a huge interest in all sorts of instruments - the only one that was not presented was tuba!!! You can NOT have an orchestra without it, so Vladimir had a talk to Fluffychook's frizzle rooster and suggested for him to learn how to play it so he could join I must say I was a bit surprised, I would have thought a huge instrument like that would be better in the hands of a cow or at least a turkey, but Mr. Verbitsky saw a lot of potential in him and you don't question the maestro!! Unfortunately the frizzle must have overdone the breathing exercises, hyperventilated and fallen of the branch but saying that, we all know what brass players are like, so the night clubbing version is just as likely Anne, I'm so glad you made me realize the instruction manual is a fake! Chook keeping will suddenly become much less time consuming and a lot less expensive - I need to figure out what's real and what's not: do you feed them deep fried cockroaches in beer batter, too? And do your chicken, when they scratch in the earth require archaeological digging equipment and a medieval pottery expert on standby? I'm just checking, I don't think they made that one up because it makes sense, but I'd better be safe than sorry

???Poor Plymouth rock rooster had a heart attack while I was away poor thing .I'm trying to get to the bottom of it ,but I'm wondering with Grinch at fluffy's and Mr V at pianochooks he may have been run of his feet looking after all their hens . Glad the auditions are going well but I'm thinking we are going to need insurance if frizzle roosters are going to be hyperventilating and or off clubbing . I think Trev you should be playing music to your eggs ;D that way the chicks will come out singing and can join fluffys in the choir. As for this instruction book of yours pianochook . ???I think we need to look closely at the different chapters as I could almost understand the archaeological bit but with winter approaching. I'm concerned about the reference to underground heating :oyou do realise that electricity and mud don't go together to well and we may end up with bar b que chicken if we are not careful. Also I'm noticing changes in hippy ,It may just be my imagination Bit concerned about this

Sorry to hear about the rooster, we need to make sure these guys don't over do looking after our girls. Grinch has enjoyed his pampering and I do think he has been out night clubbing with the frizzle roo too. They were no where to be found the other night, thought a fox had got them then found them next door unable to get back over the fence. So I locked them in the next night, but was too late the night after and found them in the neighbours back yard AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I must say I am unsure who is the bad influence but they have both been severely reprimanded and told there will be no performance for them if they do not behave.....teenagers!!!!!!!!!
