This may seem strange but does anyone know of anywhere in Perth (i am in the hills) that offers boarding for chickens? We are going away for a few days and although the hens will be fine putting themselves to bed and not being shut in the roo will start at the first sign of light if he is not shut in at night . Thanks Debbie

Hi Debbie, from what I've read its not a good idea to move chooks for just a few days, stresses them out. Could you ask a friend to tend to the roo or maybe the neighbours kids and pay them?

Maybe ask the neighbour who is disturbed by the roo.....lol, sorry could not resist. They may start to like him. I agree with Shea, moving them for a few days is stressful especially in this heat, it is better to ask a friend or neighbour to help out.

Hi Debbie, there are people that offer pet minding services in the Perth area and Im sure one of them would come and tend to your chooks needs while you are away. You may have to pay a bit though. Cheers, Wendy
