I'm having a job keeping fluffy feathers out f my silkies eyes some are such fluff-balls .Iv trimmed some but it seems to be back inside a week. One was not eating and I thought she was sick but she couldn't see a thing ,gave her a hair cut last week but she is back to almost not seeing again.Thought if a peg or hair clip but I don't think they would like that.Any Ideas???

apart from cutting the feathers as you've done I'm not sure of anything else you can try Hopefully someone else can offer another suggestion Failing that there is always the option of a buzz cut

How about some hair gel?? lol Seriously thoug Annie, if your not showing them, give them more of a trim. I have the same problem with my Polish hen. If i dont give her a trim every couple of months, she can barely see. It doesnt look bad when Ive done it, I just trim the front a bit so she can see. Cheers, Wendy

I heard of some breeders who tie up the crest with small hair ties. Hair gel would work too. Other than that a regular clipping would be the way to go.
