Hi everyone I am not sure the correct way to sort out this problem and I was hoping my many knowlegable chicken lovers could help me. Mum chook has been busy the last 3 days hatching and looking after the chicks. I went into her brooder box caged area and took a peak at the babies and the coop stunk to high heaven. I moved her over to count the babies and there is her poo everywhere in the brooder box Do I make a make shift box and place mum and chicks in there for a 10 minute time frame while i take out the soiled bedding and replace it with clean bedding, then put them all back? or do I leave it? the smell is stomach turning. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. Cheers linda

Hi Linda, I would do that. Just get the new bedding ready and get her and the chicks out. Give it some fresh bedding and let them back in. Cheers, Wendy
