Here are the first 5, still waiting on the rest, 2 have pipped ages ago and 2 haven't yet done anything. Hatch could go over a couple of days as I snuck 3 in the day after setting the rest. ;D These ones seem much smaller than the last lot. Is there any size difference at hatch between males and females? Was disappointed that I had 6 that didn't do anything and the broodies haven't hatched :(so these ones will be going under her tonight. Any tips please? Will I be able to add the next ones that hatch to her tomorrow night? Maddy came home sick from school today, she has had hayfever and i think its turned into a headcold. Does she look sick? I think she wanted to be at home for the hatching.

Awww! The are just beautiful! Are the black ones sussex - australrop crosses? (sorry couldn't remember from the other thread! ) I think you might be right about your daughter - doesn't look too sick to me! ;D Great reason for staying home though ... Congratulations!

Not too sick to me either. They are sussex/australorp. The 5 week old ones are from the same parents and just look black, no sussex colouring at this stage. They even have black feet and beaks.
