Hi, I have just been given from my lovely husband (as a wedding anniversay present) the most fantastic chook house and run for my yet to arrive chooks! I haven't kept chooks for years - since I was growing up on my parents orchard so not sure where to get ours from. I wanted to keep Australorps (5) and hoping to get pullets rather than really young ones. Any suggestions? I can't wait to collect my first eggs and share with our neighbours! Thanks so much.

Hello and welcome! What a lovely thoughtful husband you have! ;D I don't know where you can get any australorps I'm afraid, but you can always try posting a wanted ad under the australorp section?! I'm sure you'll be eating and sharing lovely fresh eggs in no time!

Thanks for the messages. I haven't been able to logon for a few days. Not sure why. I am in Wembley, in Perth so local is great if I can get my chooks... Cheers.
