I now have 2 Polish chickies hatched. 1 yesterday afternoon and one hatched at about 4.30 this morning. No I wasnt up that early/late waiting lol I know cos I got up to goto the loo and it was nearly out I will take a photo later on today They are so cute with big bumps on the top of their head. One has alot of white and one looks nearly all black guess we'll have to wait till they feather up to see what they'll be like.

Yep, first eggs hatched from my own birds! These are very special bubbies There is another pipping now. I have been putting Aurore's eggs in the bator as I collect them so we will have a real staggered hatching! I have one collected today from a secret spot. Dont know how long its been there, but its in the bator now. Havent seen an egg from her for about a week! She lays a few then nothing for a week. I guess its because she's young and its her first season laying. She should hopefully become a bit more reliable. Or she saves it up and has hidden them in the garden somewhere!! So theres now 6 eggs in the bator. I have planned it so none will be hatching when I come to Perth next weekend. Some are due next week, though I hadnt dated the eggs so I cant be exact but I know theyll hatch before Friday or the following week. I dated todays egg and will do so from now on.
