Aww Chickies! how utterly adorable! what plans have you for these cuties? It's funny how they seem to like teddies isn't it? Not entirely surprising, just funny

Beautiful, I found they like teddies too and I wonder if it is because they hold the heat and are warm to snuggle.

yes maybe Tina....If I turn the teddy so it's on it hands and feet. the chickens hide underneath it. Must feel like a Mumma CHicken or something As for plans for them ...I will be keeping them till they feather up and see what they look like before aI decide ..Hopefully one of the Pekins is Buff which I will definately keep

My OH evicted the babies to the shed on the weekend. Said they were starting to get to loud and smelly. My poor little babies spent their first night out in the cold dark shed with all that thunder and lightning last night. I was so concerned for them that I was tempted to bring them back inside but I didn't. When I checked them this morning they were all fine obviously the heat lamp and the blanky that I wrapped around the brooder kept thme nice and toasty. They didn't even seem to notice that they had been relegated to the outside.

Oh poor little things! Its a wonder you didnt camp out there!! lol I have been worried about my ducklings as we made a new run for them and put doghouse with straw in it and the end where the house is is enclosed by a big tarp. Some of the silly babies werent going inside it at night! They seem to be pretty tough though and when freeranging and its rained over the last day or 2 they just sit out in it rather than go to shelter. They dont have proper feathers yet I got up in the early hours last night and checked on them I got soaked and had to change again before I went back to bed!
