Aww so cute Such a shame that only 3 hatched, but as you say, hopefully they'll mature into beauties. The chick on the left in the 3rd pic looks bearded or is it just the angle of the piccie?

She (positive thinking here) looks bearded, the last picture also shows fluffy cheeks. It also has the interesting brownish bit on its back.

So what colours are they? I have not got a clue, the father of the two light ones name was Randy and the others father is Big Boy.

Well.. the darkest one should be partridge. The one with the faint racing stripes, looks in the 3rd pic to also have the stripe through the eye so I reckon that'll probably end up a pale partridge. And the 3rd chickie, well hmmm not sure about that one. I had one hatch very similiar colouring a few hatches ago but it passed away before feathering up so I never got to see what colour it was gunna be. Jacquie may have a different opinion on the colours, so lets see what she thinks Oh, and if the "She"(I have my fingers crossed for you that its a she) does turn out to be a "He", and you have to part with him, think of me

Theyre gorgeous Tina. Love the dusky colours. It will be great to see what colour they are when they mature.

One thing for sure is I will definately be holding these ones to see how they turn out. Love your comment about the bearded chick Steph. On closer inspection of them I think they all have a bit of bearding.

My last lot of buff chicks where definately buff from the start. This looks nothing like them, I am wondering if they are wheaton, as that is one of the colours Maxine Cook has.

Interesting.. I've never seen a wheaten Silkie. You should send a piccie to Maxine and ask her what colour it will be.
