Hi I have five chooks of different breeds and one has turned out to be a rooster. he is a lovely lavender aracunan, only problem is we can not keep him. I was wondering if someone could give him a good home as my kids are worried he'll end up as dinner.

Hi Evie, welcome to the site. You can try advertising him in the for sale section even if you want to give him away. Good luck

Hi Evie. You're not alone with the rooster problem. I have a friend who lives in a 5 acre subdivision and she has had to get rid of a rooster because of neighbours' complaints. You'd think in a semi rural environment people would expect to hear roosters, if not welcome them. I love hearing my two abusing each other through the wire of their pens every morning, but I live miles from anyone else so I don't have neighbours or the problems they bring. Hope you find a home for him.

Mike that is just ridiculous, why do these people live on 5 acres if not to get back to nature...
