I posted a message last week about my dying chooks, started of in Jan with 9 and am down to 4, the only link between them is that they seemed small for dates, they were aged between 6-16 weeks, they seemed a bit quiet the day before they died but looked perfectly healthy, they were 2new Hampshires,1 Plymouth,1 Silkie 1 Polish. These were all from a very reputable breeder and seemed healthy when we got them, we got 2 silkies from another breeder who again is reputable so I dont think it was the breed .I have done a course (5 days) of sulphaquin then 3 days of Mollases now I will start on probiocs but I have a 2gm sachet and I dont know how to prepare it. 10 days have pased since the last death so hopefully this has worked, any other tips please let me know. Also my favorite polish has just started to crow, just my luck, mind you he was the naughty one so that makes sense. Any way seeya. Donna

:'(Sorry to hear about your chooks Donna. Sounds like you have done a good job nursing them back to health. 2 g in 500ml would be fine. You may need to keep the probiotics up for a couple of days so you can buy 15g and 90g from most stockfeeder. I got mine from better pets and gardens but they had to order it in. The brand is Vetafarm Good luck.
