I don't have scheme water only bore water .The water from the bore has a brown iron stain slight odour and tastes dusty. If your water is from a bore and you would like to improve it .This is what i have done to mine it now comes through crystal clear . 1 Bore water is pumped through a new sand filter into large holding tank. 2 pumped from tank with a constant pressure pump through poly spun prefilter into house.3 goes through 4 stage reverse osmosis filter into pressurized holding tank then through to kitchen .Result no odour no taste and crystal clear.Reverse osmosis removes 99.8% of a whole list of contaminants in tap water. There is also a UV Light system available to sterilize water.

It is on my sisters farm, they have a real water problem both in the bore and rain water. Too little rain over the last few years has caught up with them
