-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please place your guesses here. Guesses can be made right up until the hatch date or when chicks start to hatch whichever the soonest.
Background of eggs set
Number of Eggs: 42 Silkie & 36 Frizzled Pekin for a total of 78 eggs. Set in Incubator Date Set: This evening 13th Feb Due Date: 6th March All eggs are my own, no posted eggs.
Hatch is monitored by Cluck N Waddle.
Number of eggs set is "78"
Please state what date you think they will hatch
If more than 1 person guesses the correct number of chicks hatched , then the hatch dates are considered. If the correct number and dates are not guessed, it will then go to the closest guess in the same sequence.
Good luck everybody

Only a few more sleeps. I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms, it seems so long since the last hatching. My maximum hatching ever has been from 12 eggs so I can't imagine what this many will look like. Of course, my chooks would complain if I put 78 eggs under them, even Sis my best Silkie Mum. Are they all in one incubator or do you keepm the silkies and pekins separate?

They're all in one incubator, along with a dozen eastern states silkie eggs Yup, only a few more sleeps to go but just to making things interesting, blo*dy Western Power informed us the other day that the power will be off from 8am-3pm on Saturday I know the eggs are due on Friday but of course there'll still be some hatching on Saturday so I'm not very impressed with darn Western Power. Why couldnt they have just waited like 2 more days lol. And the dozen eastern states eggs will have only been in the bator for a week so instead of chancing them getting too cold while the powers off I've decided to put them under a broody Silkie. She's a first time broody and I dont usually put 'special' eggs under a first timer but I'm gunna chance it. Hopefully she doesnt let me down.
