Stinking foxes are back! We are down one alpaca (other one dropped dead at beginning of year) and now we have been beseiged by fox cubs! But we have begun to remedy situation by going on weekly shoots and last night scored 6 and that brings total to 8 for the week! Little sods are digging up under my chook pen so have had to brick around it and the other night my brother in law shot one right at their back door. It had tunnelled under their fence and sat on the back door mat looking at them in the lounge room! Luckily for us, they are not particularly street smart and when they hear a loud noise they run too it not away. KABOOM! is the last thing they hear. Which is fine by me! And a warning, they have been sneaking in a pinching kids guinea pigs too so be d**n careful!

Saturday night, another 3 for the tally! And when school holidays start,we'll be out every couple of nights. But not Christmas Eve, because according to the 7 year old, we might see Father Christmas and his reindeer and she doesn't want to scare them off!!! Counted 5 roadkill foxes on highway to town this morning and at prents in the Valley, everyone's seeing them on their front verandahs at night and early morning. Too cheeky for their own good.

I have been looseing chooks to snake bites here over the last 3 weeks and nearly put my hand on 1 getting eggs on dusk after work. I got my dad to look after things while I got my wifes car fixed and thismorning found 4 chickens dead and 2 more died by lunch , the run after I left caused my first ever outbreak of cocci I given them some meds so hope the stop dying soon.
