I have an oversupply of artichokes this year (YAHOO!) and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how/if you can preserve them? I've seen them marinated but all experiments on my behalf have failed. And also, we have an ancient apricot tree which is particularly stubborn on giving us fruit, some years it will go crazy (and we have obese 28's) and then most years it has 3 fruit and that's it. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions are GRATEFULLY appreciated! ;D

mmmmmmmm with the apricot tree do you prune out the dead wood? i can't remmeber whichis which but some stone fruit, fruit on new branches only, and some stone fruit needs the old wood.
just did a quick google and apricots need new wood to fruit. next winter give it a good prune.

HI belle your not alone with this problem I think we should let the two trees meet the one I have dose the same thing even though I prune it every year I still only get a handful of fruit from it I do have it in a enclosed place so what it will have I get from it I wish you luck Trev
