Ok, I am going to have a go at my rooster, but how to you wash them I somehow do not think my drake would take too kindly to a shampoo and blow dry, so I think he will have to have a picture taken as is

The way I wash my chooks is 3 tubs of water deep enough so only their legs are covered. 1st tub is for washing, I use a wool mix detergent and the water as warm as possible, last 2 tubs are for rinsing. for getting the real yuks out of their legs and toes, I use a soft bristle toothbrush, (everyone hides their toothbrushes in our place when they know a show is coming up). as if I would LOL, and I paint olive oil on the combs and wattles, but you just have to be careful they dont get dust on them. when they are thoroughly rinsed I wrap a towel round them to soak up as much water as poss, and then blow dry 3/4 dry and leave them in a warm place to finish drying this stops the feathers from frizzing, and I always wash at least one day ahead of the show. but for the online show I think you could get away with a quick wash of the legs and comb etc unless they are really badly stained or dirty. Hope that was of some help
