Oh and the black one in the background is a black Wyandotte I picked up yesterday from sonewhere else. She is going to be a partner for my little Wyandotte cockeral when he gets older.

Hi Carolyn, I havent got much room in yard, so I am doing a few breeding pens for the seaon as follows 1. Black roo with blue and cuckoo hens 2. Cuckoo roos with black hens 3 White roo with white and Buff hens. 4. Wyandottes partridge roo and hens. 5 Polish roo with Polish hen and all the odd bods Im not breeding from. Will collect just the Polish hens eggs for incubation. 6. Wyandottes Cuckoo coloured roo with silver pencilled and black hens. I have decided to part with my Pekins Buff roo and my blue roo as I dont really need them. I also may move the hens around a bit for experimenting but this is what Im planning so far. When Im not breeding all the hens will be together to give them a holiday. I have a bit of a mish mash of pens/tractors in my yard Most temporary until I can make more permanent pens as I get time and $$. Its kind of got more out of hand than what I intended!! Im not buying any more roosters!!! If I decide to keep one now another must leave I need a bigger place....hmm think Ive mentioned that before.... several times lol

LOL Wendy, I know what you mean ....I am trying to figure out whether I have to find homes for a black pekin roo and a white columbian Wyandotte roo.....I would love to keep them but I need the pen they are in....what a delima. MAybe I can make up a couple more temp pens....much to my OH's disgust. Only problem is it the wether at the moment. I need to make sure I can keep their pens dry.
