I have some pictures of a few new additions: First are the Blue Australorps: Second are the bantam Buff Orpingtons: Third are the Golden Laced Wyandottes: Got all these at the auction the other day and they are all in quarantine for now. Beautiful birds! Also have some babies.... two nests of silkies: If anyone knows the colour of the second hen please let me know!

Matt you did so well at the auction, I saw the ones for sale and was very impressed with the quality. I gather that a lot of people were happy too. Wow so many little black silkies, absolutely gorgeous. As for the colour of the bottom hen I would have called her either partridge or AOC. Still very new to the world of colours and just about everybody has a different idea on what colour is what. Does make it very confusing. So what are you going to do with all your little fluffies?

What a great looking bunch. I am jealous of you Gold Laced Wyandottes....and so many chickies...are they babies of the silkies or are they foster mums.

They are beautiful Matt, i especially like the blue aust. rooster. Isn't it funny, the more you look at chooks the more you want - different colours, different sizes.

The bubs are all pure silkie. Mainly black this round, only 2 whites hatched. They will all be sold a little later on!

You will have lots of eager buyers Matt, blacks are sooooo hard to get hold of. I was very fortunate to manage to buy some 3 generation black girls. I can't wait until my splash rooster is old enough to breed with them. Not long now, he is crowing.....wooohoooo.
