Keats have started hatching. Four heads seen so far. Three pearl and one pied. Couple of days earlier than anticipated, but that seems to be the norm lately. Tried to shoo the GLW hen off to see if any more but she wouldn't budge. I'll organise pics later.

She's sitting on 12 eggs. Checked her again this evening and still no sign if there are more. Guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Fantastic, I wonder if it is because it is summer the hatches are coming early.

Fluffy If I remember rightly your last hatch started the day after you stopped turning the eggs. Do you think I should put mine down a day early just in case

My last two hatches where early, that is why I wondered if it was anything to do with summer. I kept a close eye on the temp in the incubator and it rose a lot more than at other times so if you have this same thing happening, yes I would put down for a day early.....just in case....lol

Always exciting when they start to hatch. I o'ften wonder how keets get out of their shells, there hard enough to break on the side of the frying pan.

Mum's finally out and about. Six have hatched, two pied and four pearl. She's still sitting on the remaining six eggs but only half heartedly. I don't expect any more but I'll give it a day and then clear the nest out.
