Well the hatch has commenced. Once again a little early maybe these east coast chickies are a little more advanced than us Wait a While westerners. I got home from work to a little surprise. I have 1 beautiful very pale silver silkie has hatched. No sign of anything from the other eggs so I wait with anticipation for a little more action tonite

one more chickie has hatched.....Dark grey silkie. The first one is going strong and fluffing up nicely. Can see or hear any thing from the others yet. Hopefully more surprises when I get home from work tonite

Sounds like all is going well, nice colour variety so far too. The silver one will be either a splash (Yes please) or a light blue

It's getting even lighter as it dries off...so will be very interested to see what coulour it finally ends up...Looks almost white now. Do you know if white ones start off yellow or like this little one

nah, my white silkies start off white. Looking at that first piccie it looks silver. Hold it up next to something white, then you'll know

Well still only 2 hatched but now 3 pipping and 3 zipping. I have had to put some wet sponges in the bater as the humidity is dropping too much and one of the little guys is having trouble breaking through the mebrane
