Good Points: Quite extensive breed descriptions. Goes into more detail on each subject than other beginner books. Lots of pictures.
Bad Points: Its a European book, so lots of the breeds arent available here in Australia (but we can dream!). It also talks of dealing with extreme cold conditions, ie- needing to heat your henhouse, birds crests freezing, and water dishes freezing which arent really a problem over here (mind you, our stock troughs do freeze over in spring!). Some of the breed photos are also incorrectly labelled, although a new edition has been published since this one so that problem may have been rectified.
Extra Comments: I found this to be an interesting read, especially looking at all the piccies of breeds we don't get over here.
