I Thought for a bit of fun we could compile a dictionay of sorts as a lot of us seem to have made up our own words.
Mine are:
Chookens - poultry
Fluglies - these are half grown chookens that are losing their fluff and getting their feathers
Royalty - My spanish ( because they were so damm expensive) who live in a specially built pen next to the back door and get carried in and out every night and morning to go into individual pens (locked) that are in a big shed (locked)

Gingle Bingles, Guinea Flowers or Guin Guins - the guinea fowls Duck Mumma - a hen raising ducklings Roostie Boys - young cockerels Cant think of any more at the moment lol. Will add some more later

I think maybe I invented another chookie word earlier, 'chookery' ? Chookery - Like piggery or nursery..... ie, my backyard is turning into a chookery... Lol not a very good explanation was it

I had poofy chooks, but the family was uncomfortable with that, so I had to change it to fluffy chooks to describe my silkies

I have given up an naming all roosters so now all roosters are called Roger Ramjet you can guess why.. Also we have chikenopolis. which is the largest chook run . My OH calls it Chicken-Bl**dy-Opolis because he's the one who had to build it. The other pens' called Taj-McChicken Hut Oh and the babies are Chicklets goes pretty well with Cluck's Chookery

Eggs are googies. Our guinea fowl are Hells Angels. I got confused using"broody box" for both the box with the nest for broodies to hatch in or the cage in which I put unwanted broodies to change their minds, so now they're the "broody box" and the "unbroody box" One of our hen houses is The Chook Palace. Fritz the Frizzle, when he is attacking my trouser leg, is a "@%#*#$@!!!"
