As I sit here checking out the boards and responding to various threads I have two blue wrens sitting on a twig outside the window and flying up to ithe glass to peck for insects. One is a young male with a little bit of colour starting. Yesterday I had a male in full colour sitting on the latch of another window, with about three females flying in and out taking turns to sit with him. Aint nature wonderful?

Mike I would go one step further and say nature is truely awesome. Have you ever got down and looked at a tiny flower on a weed and really looked at it? God in all His glory has made an amazing creation.

Too true fluffy The blue wrens are so lovely to watch arent they. We've got so many of them around at the moment, the males in their full glorious colour. In spring we have a family of robin redbreasts that always nest in the same area and raise their young. This spring they had 3 chicks, which you could get quite close to and its wonderful to sit and watch mum and dad feeding them and teaching them the ways of the world

I envy you Mike. I have had blue wrens living and nesting around our property for the last 10 years. Unfortunately I haven't seen hide nor hair of them since last summer. I miss their beautiful calls and even the little poops they left on my cars wing mirrors where they were jealously guarding their teriitory from their own images. I have no idea where they've gone but I hope they come back.
