Sounds good wendy, looking forward to seeing the piccies. Sorry to hear about the chiccie being dead in shell. I feel the same way when that happens, I'm like "Why didnt I help it?" but then I remind myself that there was probably a reason why it couldnt hatch and therefore maybe its better thats its running around in chookie heaven. I hope the other egg hatches

Now isn't that interesting, sick of the ducklings pooping everywhere. I had the same thing. But mine were in OH shed, oh the stench....lol Thankfully they now have been put into a pen with a coup. So only have a stinky coup... So I kick em out and tell to go and poop on some lawn. It is nicer than in the coup, silly ducks.

Fluffy lol They sleep on the patio in their cot without heat now. we have just been letting them out to forage the garden in the mornings and i have their water container right at the edge of the patio. They are allowed on that end but they keep making their way over to under the table and of course, the door step!! Not very inviting when you have people around for a cuppa Im going "oh excuse the duck poop" constantly!! But finally Ive had enough, they are so big now and its time for them to nick off away from the patio during the day By the way the pen hasnt started yet. Alans off to the dump with some rubbish and picking up the wire on the way home. I can see its not going to be ready till tomorrow.... maybe???

A quick update, no more hatching. Still 1 moving in egg. Maybe tomorrow if Im lucky Ive upped the temp in the bator too slightly for the other eggs due in a couple of weeks. hopefully this will sort this hatching late prob out.

Well, the last remaining egg died in shell last night The other eggs are very silent and still. I will candle today but I dont expect to see much. They will be discarded. I have the temp running higher now so I will have to wait and see how the Pekins go in a couple of weeks time. The lone chick is very quiet and placid. We rarely hear a peep out her. I am still tossing up whether to get her a friend? What do you guys think?

What a bummer. I hope you get a better hatch from the Pekin eggs. Its a pity I'm so far away from you, otherwise I'd give you one of my lil chickies to keep Star company
