Have just come inside for the day and went to check the bator temp was okay as its been a bit warm here today. So checked the temp through the window, was a little high so adjusted it slightly and lifted the lid to let out some of the hot air and theres a lil chickie in there! I was like, 'what the?' lol. Me and my baby brain (I still blame baby brain even though my lil man is 8 n half months old lol), I had miscalculated the due date Thought it was Tuesday, but after checking have realised its actually tomorrow for the chickie eggs and Tuesday for the guineas. So yeh, 1 surprise lil chickadee and about 6 other eggs are pipping. ;D Here's a piccie of the lil guy:

Congratulations Steph! Thats fantastic. Is it a white silkie? So cute. Cant wait to see the others when they arrive.

We've now got 7 chickies down in the brooder, 2 drying out in the bator and 3 or 4 chickies busy hatching.

Doesnt matter how many chicks you have hatch it is always so exciting when they do, congrats on some beautiful healthy looking chickadees

Yes its always exciting This morning we're up to 9 in the brooder and 4 drying out in the bator, and the guinea eggs should start hatching very soon.

How exciting, I have some duck eggs incubating and my silkie eggs should arrive tomorrow. I will start them on Thursday which means if all goes to plan, my Christmas present will be BABIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the same idea fluffy, my BL Wyandotte eggs are arriving on Thursday, hopefully so are the Silkie eggs. So Im going to set them on Friday, so they hatch on Boxing Day, coz I wont be home on Xmas day. So they'll be my Xmas prezzie Heres another piccie of the new bubs down in the brooder, I snapped them havin a snooze Theres still some more chickie eggs pipping in the bator and the guinea eggs are also pipping.

Wow Steph, youve certainly done well! Cute box of allsorts What colours will they be? Another question, What is a bearded silkie? My friend at work hasa friend with bearded silkies. They sound cute. Cheers, Wendy
