Just had the previous owner of Sooty my dark campbell drake come over and buy a 3 1/2 week old duckling and the two little ducklings hatched last week. They are wanting a duck as they have had a bit of trouble when choosing, usually finish up with a drake. So glad to know they are going to a great home where they will be loved and pampered. Aparently they will be sitting on the lounge watching TV tonight. I hope they watch suitably rates shows,....lol The guy just fell in love with the little brown one and wanted it, we said it could not go without the other duckling so they bought both. Sorry to seem them go, but they were going to be sold later

Sounds like they've gone to a good home where they'll be spoilt

It is hard to part with the babies, but sadly you cant keep them all, and there are not many hobbies around that actually contribute a little to the cost of their upkeep

They're going well! They bonded quite well with the 3.5 week old (Penelope) being mum! They look the same but a bit bigger - have heaps of photos and will def. show you the colours. The smaller one is called Gumnut and the darker one is called Sweep.

Now isnt that interesting. I would not have thought they would have. But then Penelope is used to being with the other 4. Any idea if she is a girl yet? The largest of them all beak is changing colour to green, so I would say he is a 'He'. The other 3 still unsure, but I think I may have 2 boys and 2 girls total. Time will tell Love the name Gumnut and really looking forward to some piccies.
