Aren't chooks clever things. I hatched 10 auracauna xbreeds and now they are laying this is the variety of eggs I get. would love to get some purebreds next and hopefully get the bluer eggs. My daughter thinks the coloured eggs taste the best but then 8 year olds tend to eat with their eyes instead of their tastebuds I think!

It must be like Easter every day at your coop! We have a cream legbar that lays blue/green eggs.

The cream legbars are great as not only they lay a green egg but you can also tell when they hatch which are boys and girls, wish all the breeds were this easy

WOW there are heaps more types than I imagined. Thanks heaps for that, I really appreciate it. It does make the decision on what to get next soooo much harder though!
