well daylight saving has kicked in today, grrrr, now I have to go and try and explain to the chookens that they have to go to bed now at 6.30pm their time not 7.30, they will not be happy, but the neighbours will be as the boys will start their orchestra off at 5.30 now instead of 4.30.

Hate it, especially trying to put young ones to bed when it is daylight and very very hot. We had to air condition my granddaughters room and put a blanket over the window, which my husband hates. Also hubby finds that he misses seeing his granddaughter as he is still working outside cause it is light and gets a shock when she comes to say goodnight. He just can't bring himself to just come inside earlier, he says he feels guilty. Silly boy, he works too hard. There are good points too, but I will not be voting yes, but I do know people who love it.

Im afraid Im one of those people who actually likes it ! I love it when I can get home after work and still have tome to take the kids to the beach and potter about in the garden even after tea! I totally understand why most people dont though. It is harder to get the kids to bed, which is about the only thing I dont like about it.

not too fussed myself either way but i do find it harder getting the chooks back to bed and as we have not been blessed with children yet i do not have that problem either i am unsure what i will vote but i do like it light in the arvo so i can get my hubby to do the jobs that he normally cannot as it is too dark but i find it hard with the change over as i get up at 3:30 to start work at 4 - 4:30 1 power ball and i am outer there ha ha

Another thing it goes far too late into the year. End of March is ridiculous

I forgot it was today. I loathe it & so my hubby & kids. We all loose that hours sleep. hubby still goes to work between 5 & 6am. He comes in after dark which thanks to DLS is an hour later. The kids go to sleep later& get up at dawn. We've even been caught out by going to town to collect parts for the farm only to get there & find the shops closed. (that really makes hubby mad). Watering the garden & letting out the hens in the cool of the morning is not much fun in the dark. Picking kids up off the bus in February when it's actually 2.30 in the arvo & 38 degrees plus is not fun. The bus isn't air conned. I could go on & on. It really seems like a city/white collar based decision & as they have the majority...well... I hate to think of the outcome when we do finally get to vote.
OK- vent over.
