Just wondering if I am the only addict who goes into the chook pen and sits on a seat and watches their babies?
I just love watching them play, my main excuse is that I need to watch them so they don't drown in the duck pond when I open that pen up.
Which reminds me, sorry gotta run, the duck pond pen is open and ALL babies are out.

oh yes we do, it's a family hobby. We have even set up a lovely garden bench to view the coop happenings! Sometimes I have to drag my 4y/o out she loves hanging with the girls!

I do too. I've got a bench out at the chook runs and I could sit there for hours just watching the 'goings on' in the runs. I also spend quite a bit of time crouched down next to the brooder watchin the lil babies, even if theyre just sleeping lol.

My daughter and I sit down watching the chooks while we have our morning tea. Very relaxing.

It is relaxing isnt it. Unfortunately my 7month old son doesnt have much patience so we dont get to sit and watch for very long but he is quite fascinated with the chookies. Another chooken lover in the making hehe

Hey fluffychook, where else would you sit and have your coffee and talk about the day and chooks. I thought everyone did. It is normal isn't it? Of course it is.

I've only had my chooks for a couple of days, but going outside to watch them has become the favorite family activity throughout the day (LOL even hubby).

Yes, me too, It is so peaceful out there and I talk to them all and they all listen very attentively (especially if I have treats)

I gave my darlings some seabiskit cat food, well wasn't I just the best mummy. I don't think I have ever seen them eat something like that. Now everytime I even come near the pens with a small container there is a mad dash to the gate.....ahhhhh, they love me. By the way Judy, noticed your absence, been away or got stuck in the chook pen?

have been really busy getting ready for the daughters 21st birthday party, and also the oldest boy and his wife have flown in from Melbourne and are staying with us for a few days so it is a bit hard to spend much time on the puter ( everyone else is still asleep at the moment) but all will be back to normal next week

Just recently got our first chooks. We can lose an hour without even trying - who needs 'Om' when you can spend time with chooks?
