I have the sprinklers programmed to come on 4 times during the day. Seems to keep them happy. The smart ones stand in the shower. The rest sit on the damp ground.

4 days on the trot over 45 glad when this spell is over i also put in a retic system over the chooks best thing i ever did its now about 9 years old still working and has saved me loads of birds My brahma strain is coping well with it along with the new Japanese quail just like wind up toys little buggers zoom around the place i think the eggs in the bator wont be any good too hot me thinks time will tell only 8 days to go

I've got 15 Australorps in the Bator due in 4-5 days but I think it's been to hot too

The heat did not do the eggs in the bator any favours. 3 dozen eggs, 2 hatched, the rest DIS.

With only a few days to go i am expecting the same with the last couple of days at 47 degrees i think the would have had it only time will tell

I took mine out of the bator last night and put them under 2 broody hens, fingers crossed

Well what a disaster no hatchings out of the 28 rggs i put in the bator i think the coupl of days we haf at 47 and then 4 at 45 did the trick cooked them i even went to the trouble of putting ice on the bator to cool it Next 24 just got put in fingers crossed ee stsy below 40 for the next 21 days todays temp 38 oh so close
