I have 1 indian game chick hatch yesterday. The other fertile egg is not going to hatch. 1 lonely chick. I am planning on putting it in with the 3 week old light sussex chicks. I hope it will not be a problem.

That is my worry. I have no choice. I will be moving the older ones outdoors next week, then the chick can have the brooder all to itself. Again, not the best situation.

Chooky... I turned off my brooder a couple of days back... the Chickens are that well feathered they don't need light/heat....because of their growth in two week, they are two weeks today!... the brooder is on my work bench in the shed, & protected...(Pekin& Belgian)... the last lot of Sussex light /heat off after 3 weeks because of their size/feathering... ( just how I do it)..:-) :-)

One of the light sussex chicks is white, no black bits at all. How cool. Is there such a thing as a totally white sussex?

The pat on the back goes to you Giantrunt! I now have my fingers crossed that it will stay white. It looks girlish to me. Of the 5 2 look boyish. So may try to breed more whites???
