Thought I'd share a few pics of my East Indies drake Adam for those that may not have seen black east indies ducks before. The iridescence on his feathers is especially vibrant during breeding season, some days looking more emerald, other days very purplish sapphire

Yeh I think theyre better than the Cayuga too fluffychook, they have more iridescent sheen to their feathers. The East Indies are slightly smaller and a tad thicker set than a Bantam Saxony, to give you an idea of size. I'll try to get a pic of one of my indie ducks today, she's got alot of white in her feathering. Some female East Indies slowly go white as they age. Probably not preferable in show terms but I think she looks lovely
horses7 I reckon you could convince him with the right sort of bribery, hehe maybe romantic dinner, bottle of his fave grog,*other stuff* My OH knows when another pen is in the works coz I always say 'hey hun, i've had an idea' lol and he's like 'gee let me guess' lol

Hey Steph, I suggested something like the same to horses7 myself. I left a blank for her to fill in with the appropriate bribery. My daughter told me about the white on them. She wishes we had more room as she would love to have some. We are currently trying to incubate duck eggs from Dark Campbells, looks like the little disaster with the off incubator has not killed them. All kicking around in their eggs happily this morning.
