chooknet had a wider comunity and a moderater who cared . will still go on both but it was more user friendly on chooknet.

It crashed from an overload of bots when they changed server as it got too big for the one they were on , but managed to salvage the advertising part . It's a big job swapping and prone to all sorts of issues when you try shifting.

I used to be a big fan of chooknet. It was lively and friendly and helpful. Through chooknet I met some great people. But this forum is starting to grow on me.

yep it used to be great with loads of users but what happens they all or most of them move around from time to time never know they may return one day and I have never used chooknet so cant comment

giantrunt Its a Silver grey dorking one of two I have I got a dozen eggs from the east and they were the ony two to hatch out so I am not looking for a rooster to go with them I have them with a Plymouth rock at this time and the young are the same as he is but with the 5 toes the dorkings have

madison what a bugger you know how I feel about foxes the more I can get shot of the better I am some time ago I put an electric fence around the chooks and have not lost one from that point on an extra expence I know but well forth it

giantrunt yep she is a grand chook she is sat on about 18 eggs at this moment cross with the Plymouth rock I have a mate that wants some for his farm I would rather have the welsummers better at foraging than the rocks this is the best of the two of them the other one has a floppy comb pity that's just the way it is
