The next few days are expected to be very hot. How is everyone keeping cool? We will be hanging shade over the pool and staying in it most of the time. The chooks will be having the sprinkler turned on 4 times a day. Hopefully that is enough.

Yep it's my towing motor and it's diesel the highest price I had was $17500 now that's a joke I am going to keep the old motor to rebuild at a later stage at this rate I will break even on the deal when I do it that will be a first. As we are in Perth it's a nice cool change for us must I hate this place glad I don't have to live hear all the time

$17500, what a difference to $8700 for the same thing. Sometimes I feel that we are being robbed.
Hopefully, your stay in Perth is pleasant, apart from the heat.
I spent two weeks visiting family in Darwin over Christmas and New Years. The humidity was bad but the company was worth it. I hope it is the same for you too.

The air conditioners are struggling to keep cool , our temp gauge stopped working when it reached 44.5 I would go mad sitting around that long to get a car fixed .

Bit of a shock when you get out of it though it only takes ten minutes before you start shivering in there , sometimes it would be nice to have a pool like yours , the neighbours have a lined dam from the rail upgrade but it has got full of slimy algae now.

Is your concrete tank still good? You can turn it into a swimming pool. The kids would love it.

30 hens! That's a massive loss. I can't wait for summer to be over. It seem to get worse each year.
I turned on the sprinklers for the chooks 4 times yesterday. I am sure that it made a difference. As soon as the ground is wet and cool enough, all of them laid down with wing extended to cool down.

That's a huge loss for any one to take I spoke too soon I had a call and looks like I lost a Plymouth rock roo one that I hatched out last year he was a good bird as well I do have 18 offspring from him so his geans are well and truly implanted in the flock just a pity to loose him like this I do have a replacement given to me from a mate only a week ago while I was in Perth he just put it in a empty pen for me surprise a late new year pressie so I am still lucky and I am on countdown only 12 days to go and I can get home .
