Well I have finally got the header going done two rounds in lupine for about 150 kg it is not even registering on the yield monitor. My uncle next door started on his wheat yesterday and it is only going 1 tonne/ ha so we are going to be just below average up this way

Saw quite a few farmers harvesting through the night over the weekend. Must be trying to avoid the coming heat on Wednesday.

Yep I fall asleep by 8 PM then wake up early to do all the little jobs . With our stones country I have to stop early as the shadow on the windscreen I can't see the rocks good enough , be better when I get to the wheat it is much taller .

You need a rake to remove the stones and rocks. I have heard of the plough points being broken because of stones and rocks.

Oh we do but every time you seed it it brings more up the paddock I am in is one of the worst come to think of it I don't know why we ever bother sowing lupins in there.

Don't you use the no til seeding method? That should leave the stones underground.

No the pressure you need to keep the knife points in the ground ripe up rocks like you wouldn't believe in our country

Well I finished harvest today the wheat Averaged 1.1 T/Ha or about 5 1/2 bags to the acre so close enough to average no screenings and good protein just need to clean the seed and all the machinery down now.
