I have got this bug as well I lost a lamb last night, but to large for a fox to get it has to be a dog. I have seen one around the last couple of days so now I have to get smart. anyway it had a good feed, if it is lost that feed will keep it going for a while and I hope it will move on and the bad thing is I only noticed it when we went to sheer them this morning. My mate had a good mobile setup that will take two shearers then counted and one lost went for a look and found it Not happy Hope you have more luck chooky that bloody fox has to go Trev

Trev,
Mr Fox was sniffing around where I buried the bait meat. With any luck he is no more.
I need to sort this out before I can have chooks in York again. Came across a very well fed fox carcass by the side of the road yesterday. Some driver did a very good deed.

Two wild dogs were shot 3 farms to the north of me last week , there were a few sheep mauled up that way they must have been heading back out for another go.

3 Dogs less.
Talking to a friend over the weekend. She recommended shooting the owners as well for being irresponsible.

Brought the hens back to Perth. I have noticed that one of the hens have gone bananas. She used to be very calm around people. Now she just runs around all freaked out. The fox attacks must have damaged her psychologically. The other hens are fine. Even got an egg today.

Sheep can be the same with dogs chasing them , they get Argo in the yards when you shear them you can see where a dog has bitten them . I shore a lamb next door this year and it had puncher wounds on both sides of its neck very lucky to have survived. It's good at least one is laying , mine are slowing up with the hotter temps I have had the sprinklers on the last few days .

I got a pure Indian game out so your eggs should all be pure Indian game and they hatch which is good , I have heard that indian game are hard to hatch in incubators.

Candled the eggs last night. The indian eggs are still doing well. Took out the GLW egg that was clear, it is now sitting in a trap for the crows. 6 other eggs seem to have stopped developing. Not too sure why. I have left them in the incubator, just in case I got it wrong. Hatch day is Saturday next week. Can't wait to see the results.
