Looks like I could have a couple of Australorp's hatching from your eggs CK what is their heritage for my reference, unless they are all pekin eggs but 2 look bigger eggs.

The hens are from four different places and the boy was Aurthor that I got from CBCG so depending what the egg looks like the larger dark tint is from NSW The white smaller ones I have a splash from your line and two from Gero one from CBCG and one from Goergies x NSW hen. So if one comes out blue it is half your line.

Annie,
Take it slow. Your birds need you in good health just as much as you do.

Thanks Trev ,Chooky I'm trying to be good,Worst of it is I have no idea how it happened.I rang Ross at work and told him I had fallen an I was ok 9.15 Am ....he didn't get home till 3.30 to find me on the floor in a lot of pain ( I can't remember any of it until two weeks after). Apparently I died during surgery for 23 mins aprox and the docs were going to give up on me after 20 min but the surgeon insisted on pushing on through and I came back in the last 5 min. then spent 24 hours in ICU can't remember anything (don't think I want to remember - apparently I was in a lot of pain) Some funny stories before I remembered me . so I am meant to be here !!! to breed more chicks

Annie,
Someone was definitely watching over you. Having chicks should lift your spirits and your recovery.

My fox returned and took 3 more birds . This time the drake was also taken. The spring jaw trap was again triggered and dragged but it somehow got off. To break the cycle, I brought the remaining 6 hens back to Perth. I have also reset the traps and placed bait with the "fox juice" from CK. Hopefully it will get rid of them for good. I saw the reflective eyes last night as I was putting the hens in the carriers. So wished I had a rifle then.
