That's enough feed for summer? I'll have to buy hay this summer. I burnt the remaining bales from last summer because of mice. I'm going to build a a feeder to hold the hay bales so the sheep can feed at their leisure without being able to lay and poo in it.

I have only tried to breed cross breeds once , it was a crap year and I sold my merino wether lambs before the crossbreds so I never bothered again , I prefer to have hogget meat to lamb any day.

Chooky if you have some left again spread it out where the onion grass is the worst it will mulch down and make better pasture grow instead of burning it.

CK,
That's a good idea. Why didn't I think of it? I was just in a hurry to get rid of the mice. I hope this years hay is better and won't attract any mice. The Mrs screamed her head off when she saw the number of mice running around in the shed.

The rain stopped last night. We were finally able to go out without umbrellas. We'll be headed to Shanghai tomorrow and then Hong Kong on Friday. We'll be back in Perth on Monday.

another 15 mill yesterday that made the bails wet bugger its not that I don`t have the time I just did not want to dry them out again ? I will have to suck it up and get on with other stuff for a while like getting the duck pen ready for a months time now that`s positive thinking for you Trev

Why did they get fly strike? I have only had one with fly strike and that was because of the dog bite wound. I didn't think lambs are prone to fly strike since they don't have enough wool to be dirty enough to attract flies.
How are you going to treat them?
