rangerwa,
Are they good layers? I have pekin ducks. I was told they are good layers but they are not laying as many eggs as I have expected. Some weeks I get 3 to 4 eggs from 2 ducks. Last week I got none. Their eggs are very nice eating. The birds are too if cooked right.

When we had Muscovy's they would lay about 25 eggs then go broody , I found them too hard to pluck so I just stick to my chooks.

They are ok to pluck. I add some dish detergent to the hot water. Works well removing the oils from the feathers. It should be very easy with your plucker.

I think it is a good sign too. I find duck eggs a bit deceiving. The dark shadow can look a bit too small but then during the last 24 hours, they can increase in size quite dramatically.
